我们通过常年节能投资来减低CO₂排放。为了进一步降低排放，我们在制造新船使用高能效的设备并在海内外的船舶上更换原有设备。同时，我们推进流程改进和自然能源使用技术以积极推进节能活动以符合环境管理体系的要求。

We have been contributing to CO2 reduction by investing in energy conservation for many years. To achieve further reduction, we are incorporating high-efficiency equipment when building new ships and replacing equipment in china and abroad. We are also promoting process improvements and the use of natural energy sources, as well as actively promoting energy conservation activities in accordance with our environmental management systems.

● 资源再利用Resource recycling

我们着眼于废弃材料产品的再生和再利用以达到废弃物零排放的目标。在未来的日子里，我们寻求废弃物排放总量的减少和提升再利用的技术以进一步减少环境影响。

We look at waste products as resources and recycle them with the goal of achieving zero emissions of waste disposal to landfill. We will seek to reduce our total amount of waste products and raise the quality of our recycling methods in the future to further minimize environmental impacts.

保护区Protection Area	公司严格遵循国际海事组织所规定的特殊海域排放要求，自觉执行相关排放规定。同时认真履行有关压载水管理的有关措施，以保护海洋生物多样性的环境。The Company strictly observes the discharge requirements for special sea area stipulated by IMO and follows relevant rules spontaneously. 间接温室气体排放Indirect GHG Emission	为降低员工参加会议使用交通工具所带来的间接温室气体对环境造成的负担，公司一般采取电视电话会的形式举行各种会议。To reduce the environmental burden posed by the indirect greenhouse gas from the traffic vehicles that employees take to attend meetings, the Company usually hold various meetings by the means of television and telephone. 减少温室气体排放Reduction of GHG Emission	公司通过船舶技术改造和强化设备维护，以改善动力装置的燃烧质量，减少有害气体的排放。同时，通过加强对船舶燃油的有效管理，提倡船舶运行经济航速，以降低燃油消耗，也达到了减少排放目的。By restructuring vessel technologies and enhancing equipment maintenance, the Company improves the burning quality in the mechanic equipment and reduces the emission of harmful gases. Meanwhile, the Company enhances its effective management over the vessel-applied fuel oil and advocates running at economic speed to reduce its fuel oil consumption and reach the target of reducing discharge. 臭氧消耗排放Emission of Ozone Consumption	公司履行《蒙特利尔议定书》的有关规定，坚持使用无氟冷剂的冷藏箱，以控制臭氧消耗物质的排放。Conforming to the relative regulations of the Montreal Protocol, the company uses the refrigerators that apply freon-free refrigerant to control the emission of ozone-consuming substances.	EN19
产品和服务的环境影响Environmental Influence of Product and Service	为改善燃油品质，提高燃烧效率，以降低船舶推进动力所排放废气对环境的影响，公司积极使用对燃油起到助燃、稳定等作用的添加剂。2006年共投入1069万元人民币用于购买燃油添加剂。To improve the quality of fuel oil, increase its burning rate and thus reduce the environment impact of the waste gases emitted by the propelling engine, the Company applies additive that can support and stabilize burning. In 2006, the Company invested RMB10.69 million Yuan in the procurement of fuel additive.	EN26
产品可回收Recycling of Products	船舶作为远洋运输的主要服务工具，公司始终关注其退役后的处理过程，公司历年的退役船舶处理均以出售的形式进行，购买者均用于近海航线的运输。2006年公司共退役船舶4艘，计146645万载重吨。Vessels are the main service vehicles of maritime transportation. So the Company always pays attentions to the disposal process after their retirement. All the retired vessels in the past years were sold to purchaser for offshore transportation. In 2006, the Company retired 4 vessels with a total carrying capacity of 1466.45 million TEUs.	EN27
运输Product Transportation	船舶使用的备件物料及燃油，公司采用就地采购的方法，以减少上述资源由于运输过程造成的环境影响。公司在建造船舶时，严格按船级标准控制船舶动力噪音，以维护船员及码头工人的健康。As to the spare materials and fuel oil applied to vessels, the Company adopts the way of local procurement to reduce its environmental impact due to the transportation process. When building vessels, the Company controls the vessel engine’s noise according to the ship classification standards to protect the health of seamen and the dockworkers.	EN29
