根据《国际安全管理规则》的要求，1995年公司建立了安全管理体系，1996年率先通过了由船旗国政府主管机关——中国海事局审核认证，从而成为全国第一家取得公司“符合证明”（DOC）的船公司。1998年根据ISO9002：1994标准建立了质量管理体系，并于当年年底通过了DNV和CSQA的质量管理体系认证。2003年又根据GB/T24001 1996（idt ISO14001：1996）《环境管理体系 规范及使用指南》和GB/T 28001《职业健康安全管理体系 规范》建立了环境管理体系和职业健康安全管理体系，当年通过了环境管理体系和职业健康安全管理体系认证。2003年公司开始实施《国际船舶保安规则》，从而获得全国第一张中国籍船舶“国际船舶保安证书”。至2005年底，公司已建立融质量管理、环境管理、职业健康安全管理、全球契约社会责任为一体的综合管理体系。
Implementation of ISM/ISPS regulations The International Vessel Safe Operation and Pollution Prevention Regulations (ISM), issued in 1994 and revised in 2000 by the International Maritime Organization, demands that shipping companies engaged in international route business should establish the Safety Management System. As an oversized shipping company engaging in international container service, the Company set up the safety management system in 1996, and thus became the first Chinese shipping company that passed certificate verification and obtained the first “Document of Compliance” and “Safety Management Certificate” in China. The Company now manages the various activities of ship safety and pollution prevention by scientific, regulated and systematic methods. The anti-pollution awareness of the staff and maritime risk resistance of the coast and ports have been enhanced, and the safety situation of the Company improved year by year. In accordance with the International Ship and Port Equipment Security Regulations (ISPS)(Which took effect on July 1, 2004), the Company set up the first vessel security system, became the first shipping company with the Vessel Security Plans by passing the certificate verification and thus attained the first International Ship Security Certificate in China. By December 2003, all the vessels of the Company have passed the certificate verification to ensure the safety of passengers and the vessels.
