中远集装箱运输有限公司（COSCON），简称中远集运（以下简称本公司或公司），成立于1997年11月11日，是中国远洋运输集团（COSCO，简称中远集团）所属专门从事海上集装箱运输的核心企业。

截至2006年12月31日止，本公司经营船队包括139艘集装箱船舶，运力达399,237标准箱。拥有全球运输主干线70多条，挂靠世界重要港口120多个，形成以中国、美国、欧洲三大板块为核心的东西主干航线体系，以日本、澳洲、东南亚为支撑的次干航线，以及中国、东南亚、欧洲三大区域内的支线网络。年货运量达511万标准箱，承运能力排名世界前列。公司在世界各主要国家和地区均设有代理分支机构，在中国的主要城市拥有300多个销售、服务网点。 By December 31 of 2006, COSCON has 139 container carries with a carrying capacity of up to 399,237 TEUs. The Company operates over 70 international shipping routes, connecting more than 120 harbors in the world and forming the east-to-west main lines centered on China, the U.S. and Europe, the secondary lines supported by Japan, Australia and South East Asia, and branch lines in China, South East Asia and Europe. With an annual carrying amount of 5,110,000 TEUs, the carrying capacity of COSCON has reached high up in the world chart. A network of 300 sales and service has been set up in main cities of China.
